ATV Etiquette

Riding ATV's is fun but please observe the following rules of etiquette:

  • Always ride with your lights on. This will enhance your visibility to those that may otherwise not see you.
  • As you approach machines coming from the opposite direction, give them the hand signal of how many machines are behind you. For example, a closed fist means there are zero riders behind you.
  • Stay on marked trails. Only a marked trail is a legal trail. Going off the trail means your likely tresspassing on a landowners property.
  • Don't speed on access routes. A club needs permission from the local town council to create ATV access routes. If people complain about ATV's speeding down the road, the town council may revoke the right for the access route.
  • Garbage in, garbage out; if you bring soda or snacks on your ride, please dispose of your trash appropriately or take it home. Landowners complaining about trash on their land is the #1 reasons why we lose trails.
